What is Claims Gate?

Claims Gate is software founded in 2018 and designed to provide a more straightforward and comprehensive way to digitally onboard and communicate with your claimants.

What does Claims Gate do?

The software enables collecting data from a claimant and making decisions based on collected data to qualify claimants in real-time.

It can put claimants through a comprehensive KYC process so that you can get to know their claimants via Proof of Identity, Proof of Address, AML checks, and more. Everything you need to integrate with the industries leading identity verification and AML solutions is within Claims Gate.

It can collect e-signatures by presenting CFAs, DBAs, LOAs, or any retainer agreement to claimants with clarity.

It can gather documents from claimants to act as supporting evidence on their claims. Claimants can be subsequently placed into a review stage while papers are reviewed or integrated with APIs to automate the review process and re-request false documents.

Why Claims Gate?

Claims Gate was previously a marketing consultant generating leads for firms in the financial and legal services sector.

Passing these leads into call centres, we would consistently see issues. 50% of people never pick up the phone after their initial website inquiry, halving the firm's effective marketing spend.

The reasons why were clear. Society had shifted. People wanted their services on-demand, not after waiting for a callback. A rapidly growing number of people prefer not to get on the phone due to anxiety or potential scams from an unfamiliar number.

In addition, reliance on call centres caused problems for firms. Slow to scale, highly resource intensive, and a hassle to manage. It wasn't uncommon for us to receive calls from stressed-out call centre managers.

Meanwhile, we saw tech start-ups disguised as professional services companies emerge, building slick digital client onboarding solutions in-house. They quickly began dominating verticals. (Some of our recent favourites are: Farewill, now the UK's #1 will writer; AirHelp, now #1 for flight compensation globally; and Lemonade, now ranked #1 for Insurance by US consumers.)

We tested every off-the-shelf software solution for client onboarding and communication to allow the firms we worked with to compete at the top level. However, none satisfied even our most basic list of requirements.

We knew that if independent firms failed to start building digital relationships with their clients, they would no longer be able to participate in the incredibly competitive advertising arenas created by Facebook and Google. Client acquisition costs would simply become unaffordable.

We knew independent firms weren't scaling near as efficiently, and we had the statistics to prove it.

In August of 2020, during the advent of COVID-19, this market need grew at an unprecedented rate, and Claims Gate pivoted its focus to address the problem.

Our highly ambitious and very technical team got together with the goal to not only develop the industries leading digital solution for client onboarding and communication but to democratize that solution for independent, non-technical firms to adopt.
